Cake Poker

Texas Holdem is such a popular game that there are a few ways you can play it. Here's the rules for each holdem game type:

Fixed Limit Holdem
In fixed limit holdem the amount that you can bet at any one round of betting is restricted to a fixed maximum limit, the minimum betting limit is also set.

Pot Limit Holdem
The rules in pot limit holdem are that at each stage of betting you can bet anywhere between the big blind and the value of the pot at that time.

No Limit Holdem
No limit holdem is the most dangerous holdem game for the new player as you can lose all your chips in just one hand. As the name suggests your betting is not restricted and you can go all in at any stage of betting.

Scheduled Tournaments.
A tournament that takes place at a fixed time and can anything two to thousands of players. Play continues until there is one clear winner.  Tournaments have a fixed buy in which includes a small percentage for the casino or online poker room.  Individual poker tournaments can be bring greater financial rewards in a short period of time and you have the security of only ever spending the amount it takes to buy into the tournament (plus the amount it takes to rebuy if it is a rebuy tourney)  Many online poker rooms hold freeroll tournaments where you can win cash without spending a cent.

Sit and go tournaments
Sit and go tournaments are tournaments that take place as soon as the designated number of people have joined to play.  These are common in online poker rooms and run with the same rules as poker tournaments

Ring games

Holdem ring games are pretty much any game that isn't a tourney. You are free to join tables and play hand by hand. They can be fixed, pot limit and no limit games. You don't pay to join these games but the casino will take a small rake from every player who joins each hand.
