Texas Holdem Hand Slang

Understanding texas hold em is much easier when you know the slang terms associated with some of the pocket cards.

The starting hands in hold em have been given a variety of slang names over the years, some obvious, some not so obvious.  
There's a lot of funny holdem slang terms out there and it can be confusing to listen to the WSOP TV commentary mentioning ducks, Kojak and even dolly parton when all they are talking about are the pocket hands in hold em.

Some slang terms are universal, some are regional  but it's a good idea to get to grips with the basic terms
